“Paddle Strong" training sessions are 8 x 1 hour intense group training sessions suitable for adult intermediate to advanced ocean ski, flat water and whitewater paddlers. Sessions run from 5.30pm to 6.30pm sharp on Thursdays at the Hobart College Gymnasium. Sessions are organised by experienced paddlers in the group and involve a thorough warm up, dynamic core training followed by moderate to high intensity circuit, cross fit type challenges and some integrated set resistance training. Cool downs include stretching and on occasion, basic sport psychology sessions especially when tapering for major races. Participants are able to tailor their own training to suit their age, experience and other individual needs.
